We work with precision for your espresso sipping pleasure so you can enjoy flavoursome & bright coffee each & every time.

We do this by using our Sivetz Air Roaster to roast beans on a 'fluidized air bed'. This method gives us greater control over the temperature so we can achieve a consistent, balanced roast in less time & with little moisture loss. Where as drum roasting, the beans risk getting scorched before they're cooked through as heat is less evenly distributed.

With air as the medium, the Sivetz Air Roaster eliminates artificial flavours produced from coming into contact with the roaster itself.

Producing a naturally sweeter coffee that has the desirable flavours & aromas lurking within the beans unlocked, with less chance of losing its more subtle notes through processing, roasting, all the way to brewing in your cup for you to enjoy.

Our beans have great chemistry

When coffee is roasted a multitude of chemical reactions occur that enhance flavour, such as the Maillard reaction, which is the reaction between amino acids & reducing sugars that visibly 'browns' roasted coffee beans.

With the roasting power of our Sivetz Air Roaster these reactions can be more easily manipulated so that custom blends can be bring forth notes that pay special homage to local coffee-producing regions, e.g. an overall lighter or darker roast may be called for — depending on the specific coffee bean.

With this even & controlled roasting our Savvy Roaster has much more opportunity to work their coffee mojo & bring out the whole spectrum of flavour profiles & producing the special roasted quality coffee beans for espresso sipping people of NZ.
